Fund & own the solar.
You invest in the system and receive income from the solar electricity sold to your tenant.
02 / For commercial landlords
In a landlord-funded solar project, you own the system. Your tenant buys the electricity it uses at an agreed price. CS Concept designs, delivers and manages the system.
You invest in the system and receive income from the solar electricity sold to your tenant.
The tenant buys metered solar electricity at an agreed price, with the aim of reducing its energy bill.
We assess the project, coordinate installation, monitor performance and provide ongoing maintenance.
Tenant pays for solar used → You receive energy income → Agreed costs are deducted to show your net return.
The tenant still buys any additional electricity from its supplier. Expected savings and landlord returns are assessed for each building before an agreement is made.
Review your property or portfolioFrom the first roof to the whole portfolio
Start with one building or a full estate. The process is the same: establish the opportunity, agree the terms and keep the system working.
We check the roof, electricity use, lease terms and grid connection. For a portfolio, we identify which buildings to start with.
You see the installation cost, expected energy income, tenant saving and ongoing costs before deciding whether to proceed.
Agree who owns the system, the solar electricity price, metering and responsibilities, including what happens at a lease change.
CS Concept coordinates delivery. Metering records the solar electricity supplied to the tenant and any export.
We monitor and maintain the system, report performance and review the commercial results across your property or portfolio.
After installation
Monitoring, routine operations and maintenance, reporting and annual electrical inspection and certification are included within the agreed scope.
The landlord questions
Funding, tenants, payments and the day-to-day responsibilities.
In the landlord-funded model, you pay for and own the system. We can also assess tenant-funded or third-party-funded options where suitable. Ownership, income and responsibilities depend on the funding structure agreed.
The tenant pays for metered solar electricity under an agreed energy supply contract, often called a power purchase agreement (PPA). The price and any future price changes are agreed in advance. Metering, billing and collection responsibilities are set out before installation.
Yes. Solar will not cover demand at all times. The tenant retains a grid supply for the remaining electricity they need and continues to pay the applicable supplier charges.
We address tenant changes, vacant periods, roof access and future lease arrangements before contracts are agreed. On-site energy income can fall during a vacancy, so the business case must account for this.
Depending on the site and permissions, spare electricity may be stored in a battery or sold under an export arrangement. We can also assess energy sharing between sites. Each option is modelled separately.
Yes. We review the portfolio, prioritise suitable buildings and manage each installation through one coordinated programme. You can start with one property and build from there.
